About Masacote Entertainment
The husband and wife team of Joel Massicot and Ana Tinajero-Massicot is one of the most sought after in salsa/mambo. Respected for their artistry and musicality, they have taken the interpretation of the dance to new heights.
Joel and Ana Massicot formed Masacote Entertainment (ME) in Okinawa, Japan in 2003, later relocating to Boston, MA. Inspired with the mission to bridge the disconnect between music and dance, ME is a live music and dance company featured in 300+ event and media platforms in the Americas, Asia/Pacific, and Europe.

In 2006, ME debuted dance company "Masacote Dance Company," launched latin jazz band "Ritmo Masacote," released debut album, "MASACOTE," and collaborated in a dance lesson DVD project with international artists. Add to that the fact that they have also broken new ground in the Salsa Industry (performing and choreographing to music created by them and for them with Joel's new Latin jazz album).
While Ana (Texas-born) is a dancer, graphic artist, web designer, and MIT graduate, Joel (St. Croix-born) is a composer, musician (piano, drums, congas, & bongos), dancer, martial artist, photographer, attended Howard University, and is a former US Marine & Army National Guard. Notable music credits and collaborations include Chino Nuñez, Jimmy Bosch, Ruben Rodriguez, Luisito Quintero, and Sound V.I. Zion Reggae. Notable musical and dance performances/appearances include Lincoln Center's "Midsummer Night Swing," Boston "First Night," dance scene in film "Along Came Polly," NY Couture Fashion Week, National Society of Hispanic MBAs National Conference, Boston's Federal Reserve Bank, Harvard and MIT Universities, and Japan, UK, Stuttgart, Montreal, Canada, and LA International Salsa Congresses.
They can be described most simply as artists. Appearances include Japan, Korea, England, Germany, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Curacao, Canada, and throughout the US.
